About me

Welcome to my digital playground! There’s not much to discover here because I only work on this site occasionally. From time to time, however, I use this space to try out new things—maybe you’ll stumble upon something interesting every now and then.

Hello there! I’m Hendrik, a family man born in the harbor city of Kiel. I spent nearly half my life in the Ruhrgebiet, which is not only where I met my wife but also where our son was born. Through my work and many personal connections, I still feel closely connected to the Ruhr area - even though I’m now back in Schleswig-Holstein.

In my free time, I love immersing myself in technical topics related to software development, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, and microcontroller programming—especially when it comes to small robotics projects for my son!

What I'm Doing

Family

As a family man and father, my family is at the center of my life. I want to actively shape the world in which my children grow up.

Business

As a PhD computer scientist, I’ve spent more than 15 years focusing on building and leading IT teams in software development and DevOps.

Electronic projects

Right now, I’m having a blast with ESP32 microcontroller programming and 3D printing! Among other things, I’ve built a robot head for my son that’s controlled via a PlayStation controller, as well as an automatic watering system (the growmaster2000).

Artificial intelligence (AI)

I’m deeply involved in artificial intelligence, experimenting with it extensively and integrating it into my projects wherever it makes sense. AI will profoundly transform every aspect of our lives—and therefore also the world in which our children grow up.
